"How does moving company charge by L.C.L and air cargo?" Many of our clients have this question.
L.C.L (less than container load seaway transportation)
As far as I'm concerned, seaway transportation involves too much complicated procedure despite of the considerable CFS charge from the destination port. You could give up the idea if you are wondering if it can save some cost to make a L.C.L for your baggages in small size (less than 1 cubic meter) and light as 100kgs or so . By the way, the minimum charge for the ocean freight is 1 cubic meter . Your passport (and working permit, graduation certificate) is needed for Beijing Customs Declaration.
Air Cargo
Air cargo is practical for regular-sized cartons or bags, which are heavy enough for per package (exceed or just equal to volumetric weight, formula: volume of the outside packing in cubic centimeter/6000), because air freight is calculated by kilograms and volumetric weight will be the chargeable weight if it is greater than actual weight. Passport and air ticket is needed for one day for airport Customs declaration 2 days before the goods loaded on board. A receipt will be presented to you on receiving the document noting the due for return.
